How do I become a member of the Greater Kansas City USBC?
You join through a USBC-certified league at a certified Kansas City-metro bowling center. Your league secretary processes your membership, and the association forwards all league and membership applications to USBC. Which bowling centers are USBC-certified in the Kansas City area?
The association certifies ten centers across the metro: Aaron's Bowling Center (Belton), Blue Springs Bowl, Let's Roll Gladstone, Let's Roll Blue Springs, Alley Cats — Raytown, Retro Bowl (Liberty), Sterling Lanes (Sugar Creek), Summit Lanes (Lee’s Summit), Tiger Bowl (Excelsior Springs), and Ward Parkway Lanes (Kansas City). How do I report a certified 300 game or 800 series?
Certified honor scores are submitted through your league secretary using the Honor Score form, then certified by the association and posted to the Honor Board. Applications must reach the office within the required window. The forms are on the Forms page.
What tournaments does the association run, and how do I enter?
The association holds several annual championships: Open City, Women’s, Youth “Super Bowling” Singles, Masters, Seniors, and Queens. Downloadable entry forms are on the Tournaments page; online entry and live results are planned for a future site update.
How do I nominate someone for the Hall of Fame?
Submit a Hall of Fame or Special Awards nomination form, postmarked by July 15. The Awards Committee reviews each nomination and determines the appropriate category. The nomination form is on the Hall of Fame nominate page.
How do I apply to serve on the board or volunteer?
Board of Director applications are submitted to the office by the posted deadline, and officers are elected by delegates at the annual membership meeting, per the association’s by-laws. Volunteer opportunities and the board application are on the Volunteer page.
